UPSC publishes the Recruitment Test paper after the exam, and the 2025 paper for the EPFO posts is the best official guide to what the 20 December 2026 test will look like. The PDF below is the unaltered UPSC file. Because it is a scan, it cannot be searched by text; use the page numbers printed at the bottom of each page.

What the 2025 paper tells you
- Two parts. The cover page says the booklet has 120 items in Part A and Part B; every item is printed in English, and Part B is bilingual (Hindi and English).
- Part A starts with English. The opening block is a comprehension passage followed by a cloze-type question where the best set of words for four numbered blanks has to be chosen.
- Marks. Maximum 300 for 120 items, so 2.5 marks each. A wrong answer costs one-third of the question’s marks; an answer marked twice counts as wrong.
- Same paper for both posts. EO/AO and APFC candidates sat one combined test; the 2026 APFC test is for APFC posts only.
Note
- GSMitra has not published a topic-wise count for this paper. The paper is a scan, and a count from memory would risk errors. If you want one, solve the paper first and tally your own mistakes by syllabus item; that is more useful than a ratio.
How to use the paper
- Take the paper as a two-hour test, with an OMR-style sheet and the negative marking in mind.
- Mark each wrong or guessed question with its syllabus item (the nine areas on the syllabus page).
- Revise the item with the most errors first, then retake only those questions after a week.
- Use the Part A English block to time yourself: if it takes more than 25 minutes, practise comprehension and cloze separately.
