The vacancies of UPESSC Advertisement No. 07/2026 were sent by the Directorate of Secondary Education, Prayagraj, and are given in Table 1 (सारणी-01) of the advertisement. Reservation is vertical and subject-wise, and separate for boys’ and girls’ schools. Horizontal reservation (women, ex-servicemen, persons with disabilities, dependants of freedom fighters) applies as per the rules. UPESSC says the number of posts may go up or down.

What the numbers mean
- Five subjects (Hindi, English, Science, Social Science and Mathematics) account for 12,632 posts, about 71% of the total.
- Girls’ schools have more posts than boys’ schools in Music Vocal (61 against 26) and the same number in Music Instrumental (30 each).
- ST posts are very few (13 in all), in Hindi (4), Social Science (4), English, Mathematics, Home Science, Art and Science (1 each).
- Sewing (21), Music Instrumental (60), Ranjan Kala (79) and Music Vocal (87) are the smallest subjects.
- The 2026 total is about five times the 3,539 posts of the previous TGT advertisement (No. 01/2022).
