UP TGT cut-off in brief
- The final cut-offs of TGT Advt. No. 01/2022 (3,539 posts; exam on 3 and 4 June 2026) were published in August and October 2026.
- Boys’ schools, General (UR): from 362.880 in Science to 492.000 in Commerce.
- The 2026 exam has a new 360-mark pattern with negative marking, so these figures are a guide to competition, not a target score.
UPESSC held the written exam of the last TGT recruitment (Advertisement No. 01/2022) on 3 and 4 June 2026, declared the written result on 30 June 2026 and published the final selection results with subject-wise cut-offs in stages: most subjects on 23 August 2026, Sanskrit on 26 August 2026, and English and the revised Hindi result on 16 October 2026. The figures below are copied from those official cut-off lists. The marks are on the 2022 scheme and are not comparable with the 360-mark 2026 exam.

Cut-offs for ex-servicemen, persons with disabilities (HI, OH, VI, multiple) and dependants of freedom fighters are in the official PDFs: Hindi and English, Sanskrit.
What the 2022 cut-offs tell a 2026 aspirant
- Language and arts subjects (Sanskrit, Commerce, Hindi, Music, Art) had the highest cut-offs; Science, English and Physical Education the lowest.
- 2026 has about five times as many posts (17,735 against 3,539), which usually brings cut-offs down, but more candidates will also apply.
- Negative marking in 2026 lowers raw scores compared with an exam that had none.
- UPESSC will publish the 2026 cut-off and candidates’ marks on its website after the selection is complete (para 9 of Advt. 07/2026).
