BPSC 71st Mains result 2026: current status
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) held the Integrated 71st Combined Main (Written) Competitive Examination from 25 to 30 April 2026. The result has not been declared yet. BPSC’s examination calendar had listed the Mains result for August–September 2026.
On 22 August 2026, BPSC issued a notice allowing Mains candidates to view and download their unevaluated answer books from 24 to 29 August 2026, and to report any error by e-mail to examcontroller-bpsc@gov.in by 29 August 2026. Objections received after that date, or by any other means, are not considered.

BPSC has not announced a date. The previous cycle gives a reference point:

If the 70th CCE pace repeats, the 71st Mains result could come around December 2026. This is an estimate from the previous cycle, not an official date.
How the final merit is prepared
- General Hindi (100 marks) is qualifying: 30% is required, but the marks are not counted in merit.
- Merit is based on General Studies Paper I (300), Paper II (300) and the Essay (300), plus interview marks.
- The optional subject is qualifying for the CCE; minimum marks are required but not counted in merit.
In the 70th CCE, 5,401 candidates were called for interview and 2,009 were declared successful against 2,017 vacancies in the final result of 20 June 2026.

- Download the PDF. BPSC publishes roll numbers of successful candidates in ascending order.
