Exam day rules for UPPSC RO ARO Prelims

These rules come from the RO ARO 2026 advertisement and from UPPSC’s current admit-card notice. The final instructions will be printed on the RO ARO admit card.

  • Carry the printed e-admit card, two photographs and an original photo ID with a photocopy; the photocopy is given to the invigilator.
  • Reach early: in UPPSC’s recent exams, entry started 1 hour 30 minutes before the exam and closed 45 minutes before it began.
  • Use only a black ballpoint pen on the OMR sheet. Whitener, blade, pin or rubber on the OMR sheet is not allowed.
  • The OMR sheet has three copies: pink (original) and green (preserved) stay with the invigilator; the candidate keeps the blue copy.
  • Each wrong answer costs one-third (0.33) of the marks for that question; a blank answer has no penalty. Marking two options counts as wrong.
  • Cheating, impersonation or leaking papers is an offence under the Uttar Pradesh Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, with penalties of up to ₹1 crore fine and life imprisonment.
